Aim for 300 DPI at the final print size for photos and headshots. Text-only layouts tolerate lower image resolution, but photo-heavy flyers need full resolution to look sharp on 100lb gloss book under store lights. We flag soft images on the proof before production starts.

Extend background color or artwork 0.125 inch past the trim line on all four sides. This ensures color runs to the physical edge after cutting without leaving white gaps. Keep all critical text and logos inside the safe zone at least 0.125 inch inside the trim edge.

RGB is recommended on our digital presses and often produces brighter, more saturated color than pre-converted CMYK files. CMYK files are also accepted without conversion. The digital proof shows how your art will look on the selected stock before production so you can judge color at that stage.

Production is press time from proof approval to flyers leaving our facility. Shipping is carrier transit from our dock to your address. Both are shown separately at checkout so you can calculate the exact art submission deadline needed to hit your event or distribution date on time.

The calculator or our team can help structure multi-version jobs without creating a separate order for each design.

Sizes like 4x6 and 6x9 fit postal guidelines for standard mail pieces when printed on qualifying cardstock weights. Stock must be stiff enough and art must meet postal graphic standards for the piece to qualify for postcard rates. Ask our team before ordering if direct mail is your intended use.

The safe zone is the area at least 0.125 inch inside the trim edge where critical content should live. Logos, phone numbers, prices, and event details placed inside the safe zone will not be accidentally clipped during cutting regardless of minor sheet positioning variation on the press.
