Cheap Return Policy Printing

We stand behind our print quality. When we make a mistake, we fix it.

Custom printing is manufactured to your approved specifications. Because each job is produced uniquely for you, returns work differently than retail merchandise. This page explains our quality guarantee, when reprints and refunds apply, how digital proof approval affects your claim, and what falls outside coverage.

Track Order Status Easily

Before reporting an issue, track purchase progress to understand where the shipment is. Visit our Track Order page, enter the purchase number and email, or sign in for full details. This helps us resolve issues faster.

Our Promise to You: Perfection or We'll Make It Right

At Cheap RUSH Printing, we understand that quality is non-negotiable. If prints arrive with a defect, wrong finish, or any damage caused by us, we will reprint the purchase completely free of charge. If a reprint isn't possible or practical, we'll issue a full refund or credit to the account. We leverage our quality control checks so this rarely happens, but when it does, we fix it FAST (no hassle, no questions asked).

Why Custom Orders Are Final: The Real Deal

Here's the thing. Prints are custom-made, one-off products built to exact specifications. This means we can't accept returns for "I changed my mind" or "I don't like the color anymore" after the proof is approved. We stress the importance of checking the proof carefully because our guarantee covers OUR errors only, not design changes after approval. We're being honest and transparent, right from the start.

What We Cover: Our Fault? We'll Fix It Free

If there's a production slip on our end, we will reprint the purchase completely free of charge. Here's what qualifies for a free reprint or refund:

What We Don't Cover: Customer-Supplied Issues

We can't be responsible for issues that come from uploaded files or choices made during ordering. We understand this might sound strict, but it's important to be clear about what falls outside our guarantee. Examples include:

How to Report a Problem: Quick & Easy Steps

If something's not right with the purchase, please contact us within five business days of delivery so we can resolve the issue as fast as possible. Here's how:

1) Email Our Support Team

Send a message to support@cheaprushprinting.com and include the purchase number in the subject line. This helps us locate the purchase faster and get help right away.

2) Show Us What Happened

Attach clear photos (or even a short video if that helps) showing the problem. Include a few shots from different angles, and if there's shipping damage, include a photo of the box too. The more we can see, the faster we can understand the issue and assist.

3) We'll Review & Respond Fast

Our team will review the submission and respond within 1–2 business days with a proposed solution — usually a free reprint or a refund/credit for the affected items. We'll explain the next steps clearly so expectations are set and timelines known.

Frequently Asked Questions

What is your print quality guarantee?

We guarantee every order matches your approved digital proof in color, content, size, and finish. If your printed product has a manufacturing defect, wrong color relative to the proof, incorrect cut, wrong paper stock, or any other production error on our side, we will reprint the job at no cost or issue a full refund.

How do I report a problem with my order?

Email support@cheaprushprinting.com within five business days of confirmed delivery with your order number, a clear description of the defect, and photographs showing the problem on multiple pieces from the shipment. Clear photos in natural light showing both the full product and a close-up of the defect area help us process your claim quickly.

Will I get a reprint or a refund?

You choose which resolution you prefer. We offer either a full reprint at our cost produced at standard or expedited speed, or a full refund to your original payment method. If your deadline cannot accommodate a reprint, tell us when you open the claim and we process a refund as the faster resolution.

How long do refunds take?

Approved refunds are returned to the original payment method within five to seven business days after the claim is verified and approved. The exact timing depends on your bank's processing schedule after we initiate the return. Contact your bank if the refund has not appeared after ten business days of our confirmation.

What if only part of my order is defective?

We handle partial quality claims. If some pieces in a shipment are defective and the remainder meets our quality standards, we reprint or refund the defective portion only. Send photos showing a sample of the defective pieces alongside the acceptable pieces for accurate assessment of the affected portion of the shipment.

I approved the proof but there is a typo. Are you responsible?

No. Proof approval transfers content responsibility to you as the customer. When you click Approve, you confirm that all text, spelling, phone numbers, logos, and layout details are correct. We print exactly what the approved proof shows. Errors present in an approved proof require a new reorder at your cost.

Why does the print color look different from my screen?

Screens display color using RGB light, which has a wider color gamut than CMYK ink used on commercial presses. Some color shift between screen and printed result is normal and expected across the industry. Excessive deviation from the approved proof color is covered by our guarantee; normal gamut difference is not covered.

What if my rush order arrived late?

Rush fee refunds apply when a rush order's production delay is caused by an error on our side. Carrier transit delays on standard non-guaranteed shipping services are outside our control and are not eligible for rush fee refunds. For guaranteed-delivery service failures caused by the carrier, we assist with the carrier claim.

Do you accept physical returns of custom printed items?

Custom printed goods are manufactured to your approved specifications and cannot typically be resold after production. We resolve quality issues through reprints or refunds rather than physical returns to our facility. If a physical return is discussed and arranged with support for a specific situation, any return shipping costs apply in that arrangement.

What counts as a manufacturing defect?

Manufacturing defects covered by our guarantee include: incorrect trim size from our cutting equipment, blurry or pixelated output caused by our press equipment (not low-resolution supplied artwork), ink banding or skips, wrong paper stock shipped, items printed on the wrong side, and errors in applying ordered finishes like lamination or UV coating.

Are color differences between digital and print ever covered?

Excessive color deviation from the approved proof is covered. Normal CMYK-to-screen gamut differences are not covered because they result from the fundamental difference between RGB light on screens and CMYK ink on paper. Supplying CMYK files instead of RGB before upload is the most effective way to reduce color shift on final print.

I received fewer pieces than I ordered. Is that covered?

Industry standard print tolerance allows up to five percent over or under delivery on printed quantities. If you ordered 500 pieces, receiving between 475 and 525 is within that tolerance and does not constitute a shortage. Shortages exceeding five percent below the ordered quantity are covered by reprint or refund of the difference.

My package was damaged in shipping. What do I do?

Email support@cheaprushprinting.com immediately with your order number and photos of both the damaged outer packaging and the printed pieces inside. We open a carrier damage claim and assess reprinting or refunding based on the damage report. Retaining the original packaging for potential carrier inspection improves the outcome of your claim.

What if I entered the wrong shipping address?

Contact us at +1 (800) 220-5185 as quickly as possible if you notice an address error after ordering. Changes are possible before the shipping label is created. If the package ships to the wrong address and returns to us, reshipping fees apply. Entering the correct address at checkout prevents this situation entirely.

What if I did not order a proof? Does the guarantee still apply?

Manufacturing defects are always covered regardless of whether you ordered a proof or used a proof-free product. For proof-free orders, artwork content errors including spelling, layout, and image placement are not covered because no approval step was built into the production flow for that specific order type.

How long do I have to report a problem?

Contact us within five business days of confirmed delivery shown on the carrier tracking record. Claims submitted after that window may not be eligible for a quality resolution. Check your tracking confirmation date if you are unsure when the delivery scan occurred on the carrier record for your shipment.

Can I request a sample before placing a large order?

Yes. Visit tools/free-stuff/free-printing-sample-package/ to request a free sample kit with paper swatches and coating samples, or contact us to discuss printed samples for a specific product before committing to a large quantity order. Seeing and feeling the stock in person helps set accurate expectations for color and texture before production.

What photos do you need for a defect claim?

Provide clear photographs of the defect on multiple pieces from the shipment, ideally taken in natural light. Show the full product in one photo and a close-up detail of the problem area in another. Include at least three to five pieces in the photo if the defect is widespread across the run.
